Bio
Colby Amos is a filmmaker and multidisciplinary artist based in New York City, graduating from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts, Kanbar Institute of Film & Television in May 2025. Her work spans narrative, experimental, and photographic forms, often focusing on themes of memory, desire, identity, and emotional rupture. Through intimate storytelling and formally playful techniques—whether it’s a one-take confrontation between friends on the edge of change, or a camcorder glimpse into a past self begging not to be forgotten—Colby’s films ask viewers to sit with discomfort, vulnerability, and the moments we try hardest to bury. Her projects, like Cherry Picking, Are You Watching Me, and Bluebirds, reflect a continued interest in the quiet ways people unravel and remake themselves.
